Message from Primary

The primary school has had something of a sporty feel to it this week, with our Year 4, 5 and 6 students taking part in the Fun Soccer Day at SAS Pudong, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday respectively. Luckily, the weather was very kind to each year group and the students and their teachers came back to school each day absolutely buzzing after having such a great time. In particular, all the teachers commented on the teamwork that was displayed by each class and how much they supported each other throughout the day. All the children were fantastic ambassadors for our school.

In the primary school we didn’t even let the weekend stop us between last week and this week, and on Saturday our U9 and U11 football teams attended the first primary football fixtures of the season, which were held in Jinqiao.

Music

Message from the Director of Music - 14 September 2016

The Arts department is alive with pupils singing, performing and making the set as we start our long journey to the opening night of Into the Woods. Auditions are still ongoing and this week we have heard from Years 7 and 8 and again the standard has been fantastic. Some truly memorable performances from the most unexpected pupils! We really admire their bravery and the amount of hard work they have put in to be prepared for these auditions. Next week will be the last week of auditions, with Year 5 and 6 taking the spotlight. After that, we start the callbacks for the pupils who have been selected for different roles. Our aim is the same as last year, to have two pupils per role, wherever we can, giving everyone the best opportunity to realise their ambitions.
