Our Learning Journey

This week in phonics, we have been developing an awareness of sounds and rhythms. We have been talking about the sounds we can make with our bodies and trying to remember patterns of sound.

Nursery have been learning to say furniture vocabulary this week including 沙发 (Sofa), 床 (Bed), 桌子 (Table) and 马桶 (Toilet).  They then started to learn a new sentence structure ‘This is my + object’ as well as a nursery rhyme about furniture:

Physical Education

This week the children have been exploring a variety of equipment and have been playing small games where they have worked cooperatively.

In Music this week, your children have accompanied their favourite songs by playing shakers. They have learned the Italian terms (forte and piano). We have practiced singing and playing loud and soft respectively.

Continuing Our Learning Journey at Home

We loved sharing the children’s pictures of cooking - it was lovely to see all the happy chefs at home.

In school, we are encouraging children to be independent. We would like you to spend some time next week encouraging children to dress and feed themselves.
