Our Learning Journey

This week we have started rehearsing for our Christmas Nativity. We have enjoyed learning new songs and adding dance moves to them too!

Mandarin

We continued to learn about the topic of ‘My Bedroom’. Some home appliance words have been learned during this week such as fridge, washing machine and television. We also continued the using the sentence structure “This is my + object ”. We have also learned a new nursery rhyme this week.

Physical Education

In PE this week the children have been learning to jump with two feet and use their arms to propel themselves forward for further distance. In Swimming the children have been introduced to the “Superman” or “Supergirl” arms, which allows them to improve their leg action and to encourage them to have their face in the water.

Music

In Music this week, your children have continued to sing songs with actions. They have learned about pitch, singing a C major arpeggio following hand signals from a leader. They have also started learning a new song: I’m a miracle.

Continuing Our Learning Journey at Home

Our children are always busy working in the construction area at school. We would love to see some of your creations from home. You could try making shapes such as triangles and rectangles or build a castle or spaceship.
