Our Learning Journey

We have enjoyed a fantastic, health-themed week. It was lovely to have so many parents support the children during sports day. Well done to all the children for taking part in the events.

In class, the children were very excited to write shopping lists and help the teachers order fruit from Red Mart. This enabled children to have a real shopping experience. We were sad to find the strawberries were out of stock. An excited team of children prepared maps to help guide the delivery man to our classroom.

This week, Nursery children started to learn about vegetables, such as “tu dou (potato)” “hu luo bo (carrot)” “wan dou (Pea)” “xi hongs hi (tomato)” “qie zi (eggplant)”and “huang gua (cucumber)”. Additionally, they learnt to say the sentence “I want to eat...” On Friday, the children did a show-and-tell about their favourite fruits and vegetables.

Physical Education

This week, the Nursery children had their first sports day at Dover Court International School. The children had a brilliant morning and did a great job on all the activities.

There was no swimming this week due to sports week.

There was no Music lesson this week due to Sports Day.

Continuing Our Learning Journey at Home

For our Easter celebrations, we would like you to design an Easter egg at home. One idea that you could try is to hard boil an egg, allow it to cool and then decorate. Or you could simply draw one. All contributions greatly welcome!
