This week in ICT we are looking at the importance of using trustworthy sources when researching information for project work. Students are referencing valid sources and combining their findings with their own thoughts and ideas. The students have produced some excellent news reports about their IPC topic and they have included some excellent images to support their work.

Physical Education

Classes who have had a swimming and PE lesson this week have been focusing on jumping, during athletics. The last lesson of this swimming unit has seen pupils put their learnt skills into water-polo matches, competing in mini teams.

This week, Year 6 performed percussion parts as part of a class performance, and drew comparisons between rhythmic layers by discussing how the music develops over time. We also recognised the role of others in the development of these rhythmic patterns.

Design & Technology

This week in Design and Technology, the children will evaluate their team’s towers and how well they worked as a team. They will also review safety and practice their sketching skills.

No homework will be set in line with our No Holiday Homework Policy.
