Melanie Jane Benson

Melanie Benson

Mathematics Teacher and 9D Form Tutor

Melanie has a BSc in Mathematics with Business Management from The University of Northumbria at Newcastle and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Sunderland University. Melanie re-joins the Nord Anglia Family having previously worked in our Beijing School.

Melanie started her teaching career in the North East of England and has worked in International schools for over six years in China and Malaysia. Melanie has previously worked for Nord Anglia at the British School of Beijing where she was the Head of Mathematics. Melanie is passionate about teaching Mathematics and ensuring students have skills for life.

Outside of school Melanie is an avid traveller and scuba diver; in her previous school she set up and ran scuba diving trips, whereby she accompanied students to gain their PADI qualifications.

Melanie joins us here at DCIS from 6 months of travelling through Asia and Australasia.
