Lorraine began her teaching career in the UK. She was Head of Girls` PE and Games in the independent preparatory sector prior to joining Dover Court International School.
Lorraine`s father was stationed at RAF Tengah in Singapore when she was a young girl. It was this, and having lived in several other countries around the world, that made her look at teaching abroad and eventually brought her to Singapore.
A keen runner, Lorraine ran the London Marathon in 2006 and since then has completed many half marathons running for The RNLI lifeboats charity. She began learning to ballroom dance several years ago, and this makes a nice change from wearing trainers! She has continued to dance since arriving in Singapore, thankfully in the air con.
Having fun, encouraging all levels of ability to challenge themselves, achieve to the best they can and enjoying sports for a lifetime, sums up Lorraine`s philosophy towards sport.
Lorraine loves cricket especially test matches and she is also a keen supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion F.C. She has always been a keen swimmer, having learnt to swim in Singapore as a child, and represented her county as a young girl.
In her spare time, Lorraine swims as often as possible at her condo. She also continues to enjoy travelling to New Zealand, Australia and lots of other exotic places.
