Staff Profile: Patrick Dwyer

Patrick Dwyer

Head of Music / NAE Regional Lead – SEA

Patrick Dwyer graduated from the University of Auckland with a BMus (Honours) in jazz performance and composition, and holds a Graduate Diploma of Teaching.

Patrick has over 16 years of experience in music education at primary, intermediate and secondary levels. He was also a professional guitarist in Germany and New Zealand, performing at festivals, corporate events and concerts, including guest performances with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

Patrick comes to DCIS having coordinated the IGCSE, AS, A2 and Scholarship music curriculum at St. Peter's College in New Zealand. During his tenure, he had redesigned an accelerant programme that would see its students regularly achieving one of the highest grades in New Zealand for the Cambridge International Examinations.
