Staff Profile: Wen Jing Soon

Wen Jing Soon

Mandarin Teacher

Wen Jing graduated from Monash University, Melbourne and is a Mandarin Chinese Teacher.

Mrs Wen Jing Soon has worked in education for 18 years. She is passionate about teaching and learning with internationally minded young people. She has travelled and worked across Australia, England and Singapore and has had the opportunity to learn about different cultures, teaching and learning methodologies.  She brings to us an extensive experience in teaching Mandarin as a Foreign Language in both primary and secondary schools.  Before coming to Dover Court, Wen Jing was teaching at United World College, East campus as a Mandarin teacher. She spent most of her teaching career at Caulfield Grammar School in Australia, Melbourne where she coordinated and set up the Mandarin program for the early years and junior school. At Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar, as the pioneer Mandarin teacher, she was responsible for setting up the Mandarin program in both Junior and Secondary school. At Melbourne Grammar School, Grimwade House, she was appointed as the Acting Head of Mandarin where she coordinated the Mandarin program in the Junior school. During leisure time, Wen Jing enjoys exploring Singapore and Asia with her young family of 2 children.
