Staff Profile: Emma Castle

Emma Castle

Year 5 Class Teacher (5EC) and Year Group Leader

Emma graduated from the University of Hull in 2006 with a BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology and graduated with a Primary PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2007.

Emma is in hertenth year of teaching, having spent some years of her career teaching in inner London.  She has taught from Year 2 to Year 6, and held the position of Key Stage 2 leader in her previous school for 2 years.

In 2013, Emma’s fiance, now husband, moved to Singapore to teach whilst she was still working in the UK.  After hearing about all the amazing experiences he was having travelling, shopping and eating, she decided to make the move over to Asia to experience teaching in an international school. She says it has been one of the best decisions she has ever made; the children, staff and parents at Dover Court have made the transition so easy for her that she feels as though she has lived here for years!

The one thing Emma absolutely loves about Singapore is the fact that there is always something to do. She also loves visiting new places and Singapore is the perfect place to do this from.
