The Julliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme

Over the last two months,

Nord Anglia Education

(NAE) has been raising awareness of  their collaboration with Juilliard and developing Nord Anglia’s reputation as a thought leader within education. Several articles in top tier transnational and local publications have been published and two of the articles are as follows:

Reject League Tables in Favour of Inspiration

The Huffington Post article above is by Andrew Fitzmaurice who is the CEO of NAE.

Last week in the Secondary Assembly, Ms Rae gave a very interesting presentation about how learning a musical instrument can help students succeed in other subjects. Therefore, in the articles above it is so pleasing to learn about NAE’s commitment to all areas of the curriculum, including Performing Arts. The unique NAE music curriculum has been designed in collaboration with the world renowned Juilliard School in New York and will eventually give BIS Hanoi students unique opportunities to learn about music through iconic works and regular connections with outstanding practicing musicians. As stated on the NAE website:

“Music can play a transformational role in children’s education. The Julliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme has been designed to give students a deep engagement with performing arts - promoting cultural literacy, creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.”
