AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY

Our parents are involved in every aspect of school life. Our Friends of BIS parent group is open to all, taking part in regular events – like our International Week festival and Britcham charity run – and organising activities including tours of Hanoi and Vietnamese language lessons.

You’ll play a big part in your child’s learning journey, too, joining our welcome back event at the start of each year, meeting the principal at regular coffee mornings, and coming into school for student presentations.

Trips and expeditions
Immersive experiences bring our students’ education to life, creating lifelong memories and developing a host of transferable skills. Global Nord Anglia expeditions to Tanzania and Switzerland will open your child’s eyes to the world around them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What are your school hours?
School starts at 8:30 am and finishes at 3:05 pm, Monday to Friday. The day is broken into six periods, with a morning and lunch break.
  • Where can I get my child’s uniform
BIS Hanoi believes its school uniform contributes to the creation of a positive school community and sense of belonging. Every year your child will receive a school uniform set. If you are an existing student, you will be able to pick up your uniform set over the summer.

We believe the set provided is enough to last a year. However if you feel you need additional pieces they are available for sale every school day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the school shop (main building behind the reception).

  • What is the BIS Hanoi school cloud?
The BIS Hanoi school cloud is the platform BIS Hanoi uses in order to manage co-curricular activities as well as make appointments during parent-teacher conferences.

Please make sure to create a parent account using the same email you are registered with at the school.

You can access the platform here => BIS Hanoi School Cloud

  • When will I be able to sign up for co-curricular activities for my child?
The school organises Co-curricular activities each term. Cocurricular typically start two to three weeks after a given term and finish about a week before the end of the term.

Before the start of a cocurricular term you will receive an email with information on activities available and instructions to sign up.

You will need to have a parent school cloud account in order to do so.

  • When is the school academic calendar published?
The school calendar for the upcoming academic year is usually published before the Winter break.
This calendar includes term start and end of the upcoming academic year, term dates as well as public and school holidays.
  • When are the school fees published?
BIS Hanoi is part of the Nord Anglia Education groups of schools. As such, we aim to publish school fees during term 3 of each academic year.
