Being a part of the Nord Anglia family of schools has many advantages many of which I have highlighted in the past. We have embraced the Nord Anglia philosophy of “Be Ambitious” and are continually looking at ways of increasing the aspirations of our students. Nord Anglia Education is indeed ambitious. As many of you will already know NAE have a close partnership with the top performing arts school in the world – Juilliard. At BIS Hanoi we are working hard to be ready to initiate the programme that Juilliard offer us and will keep our community informed of the progress we are making in this creative area. Additionally due to a partnership with Kings College London NAE teachers have access to studying for a Master’s degree awarded by the University which is only available to NAE teachers.
However, NAE made yet another exciting announcement yesterday with regard to a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) which is ranked the number one University in the world. In response to the partnership with MIT the CEO of NAE Andrew Fitzmaurice stated:“Together with our performing arts collaboration with The Juilliard School and partnership with King’s College London, this brings the expertise of world-leading institutions to the heart of our schools”
In response Dr John Durant (
MIT Museum Director and Adjunct Professor in the Science, Technology & Society Progr
"Collaborating with Nord Anglia has enabled us to develop something truly exciting. The activities we have created for Nord Anglia students take a unique approach to problem solving, working across disciplines and promoting collaboration between students in the creation of innovative solutions to real world challenges. We hope the collaboration with Nord Anglia will inspire students and staff alike, and provide students with key transferable skills that can be employed throughout their lives."
Together NAE and BIS Hanoi continue to “Be Ambitious” therefore I do hope that you all have a wonderful and ambitious weekend.
