BIS Hanoi students participate in the Nord Anglia STEAM Festival in Ho Chi Minh City

NAE STEAM Festival 2024 | BIS Hanoi
The NAE STEAM Festival, which unfolded over two action-packed days, provided an immersive experience into both Vietnamese culture and the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

Our recent participation in the Nord Anglia SEA STEAM festival in Ho Chi Minh City was nothing short of exhilarating! The festival was hosted at our sister school, BIS HCM, serving as the perfect backdrop for this incredible learning experience for Primary and Secondary students from seven schools from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.

On Day 1, amidst a warm welcome in HCMC, we were treated to a vibrant Vietnam Cultural Experience. This included engaging activities where students from seven schools, including ours, had the opportunity to delve into Vietnamese traditions. From crafting beautiful calligraphy fans to designing colorful banners adorned with traditional motifs, it was a delightful exploration of the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam.

Day 2 saw us diving headfirst into a series of Otherworldly challenges. From the conceptualization of exoplanet shelters to the construction of space buggies and sturdy bridges, our students showcased their ingenuity, creativity, and teamwork skills. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and determination as they tackled each challenge with enthusiasm and gusto. And of course, amidst the exhilarating activities, we made sure to refuel with delicious meals to keep our energy levels high throughout the day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents and teachers whose unwavering support made our participation in the Nord Anglia STEAM festival possible. Your encouragement and dedication are invaluable, and we are immensely grateful for the opportunity to embark on such an enriching journey together.
