Nord Anglia provides many opportunities for our 43 schools to collaborate and learn from each other through the Global Campus on the Nord Anglia website. Our students develop a truly international perspective through outstanding online, in school and worldwide experiences. Class 6S demonstrated some excellent public speaking skills during their assembly today as they informed primary children of some very serious global issues which are being targeted on the Global Campus.
The Year 6 children have explored the 17 sustainable global goals which have been agreed upon by the United Nations. 6S selected the goals relating specifically to health and hunger such as the drive to end extreme poverty and ensuring that all people have access to good nutrition and clean water as their focus for assembly. These were chosen as they have also been selected for a competition through the Global Campus. Why not ask your child to show you more details about the competition as children can enter projects from home or school?
The assembly also celebrated the success of the shoebox collection. Over 180 shoeboxes have been collected in addition to rice and clothes. These are all going to be delivered to the Rice Scholarship and SOS Village very soon so that children will enjoy opening a special gift containing super items such as socks, pencils, colouring books and small toys. Thank you to the Primary Student Council and Ms. Tong for organizing this special collection.
