The Principal of BIS Hanoi, Mr. Anthony Rowlands, was born and educated in the UK. He graduated from the University of Wales with both a Certificate and Diploma in Primary Education and was later awarded a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from The Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
Anthony started his teaching career in the UK in 1979 and taught there for 13 years including six years as a Head Teacher before moving to international education in 1992. He then held senior leadership positions in three FOBISIA schools: firstly at St. Christopher’s International School in Penang, then at the British International School, Jakarta and most recently at Harrow International School in Bangkok, where Anthony spent 10 years as Deputy Head Master and Acting Head Master.
In his spare time Anthony enjoys watching rugby, playing golf, swimming and going to the gym.
