I have a BSc in Applied Science and after working as a Technical Manager for a food company I found the most enjoyable part of my job was helping others learn the processes involved. This prompted me to complete my PGCE in Secondary Science and follow my childhood dream into teaching. Whilst I was teaching in Macclesfield I was lucky enough to attend Brain Based learning conferences in the USA and this sparked my interest in teaching here.
I enjoy DIY, reading and walking my Springer Spaniel with my husband. We enjoy travelling during the holidays and the variety of activities that the differing seasons in Washington, DC allow.
The small class sizes and diverse backgrounds at British International School of Washington lead to an intimate learning environment allowing students to become confident, lifelong learners and in science I see a huge growth in their inquisitive nature.
