I grew up in North London and moved to Brighton to study Biochemistry at university. Having completed my degree, I decided to undertake a PGCE to become a teacher. I worked at a large school in Brighton, before moving to Washington DC in 2015. Since joining BISW I have worked in Year One and Reception and am excited to continue in Reception this year.
The British International School of Washington is different from any other place I have worked at because of the varied range of backgrounds and nationalities of both its students and staff. This makes BISW an exciting place to work as I meet, collaborate with and teach such a diverse group of people.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading and travelling, particularly around the United States, where I love to visit National Parks. I have already been to Yosemite, Zion and the Grand Canyon, and I hope to see even more during my time here.
