After gaining a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Sussex, I decided to study for a PGCE in secondary science. Having completed this, I decided that I would be more suited to a career in primary education and so I began work as a teaching assistant at a large junior school in Brighton.
The British International School of Washington is different from any other I have worked at because of the varied range of backgrounds and nationalities of both its students and staff. This makes BISW an exciting place to work as I am able to meet, teach and work with such a diverse group of people.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading and travelling, particularly around the United States. I hope to be able to explore America during my time living here in Washington, DC.
