I studied Economics and Accounting at University and then went on to do a Masters in Finance. I went into the banking sector and worked there for about three and a half years. While I enjoyed working in banking I was not particularly passionate about what I did. AT the same time I was coaching young people in sport which I thoroughly enjoyed and quickly realised that my passion was to work with young children. I did a Mathematics Enhancement Course followed by my PGCE in Mathematics at University of Oxford. I worked in the UK before deciding to apply to British International School of Washington as my passion as always to work with students from all over the world. I was very fortunate to be selected by BSW and have now been here for six years.
I currently teach Mathematics Studies/Standard and Business Management and also have previously taught IB Economics. I am an IB Mathematics examiner and recently completed the International Leadership and Management Program for Senior Leaders.
My passion is playing sport especially cricket where I have played professionally and am also a qualified coach. I enjoy travelling and have had the opportunity to travel across Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. My motto is treat people like you expect to be treated and work hard and play hard. My personal aspiration is to be a cricket commentator and comment in the cricket world cup. While living in America I have been fortunate to get involved in many activities, the highlight being the opportunity to ski.
