As we prepare for Chinese New Year the school is awash with the festive colour red and festive cheer. I would like to extend a warm thank you to our families who came and shared our Temple Fair celebrations and our students who led and organised a number of activities over the last week. Particular thanks to our Global Languages team for supporting and leading events, and particularly our Mandarin department for providing new learning opportunities and showcasing how talented our students are at using their Mandarin skills.
You will remember that last week our secondary students hosted their Chinese New Year Assembly, and this week it was the turn of the Primary students. As the day drew to an end, we watched students from across the primary school perform for their peers, most definitely entertaining their audience. A super way to end the week.
Whilst for many next week is full of time for family and friends, for many of our secondary students adventure begins as the holiday breaks. Already landed in Iceland are a group of keen adventurers who will be exploring the awe and wonder of Iceland alongside Mr. Northedge and Miss Cuskin; and, just heading off into the sunshine are a large group of Year 12 students who join our Global Expedition Centre team in Tanzania. Here they will conduct a variety of service projects in the local community alongside students from our Nord Anglia Education schools in Warsaw and Washington, meeting new friends along the way and truly making a difference in the lives of others.
We look forward to hearing from them as they embark on their activities.
As another incredibly short term closes I would like to wish everyone 新年快樂!
