Amman Academy opened its doors in 1991. Located in Khalda, a safe and peaceful suburb in the west of the city, we’ve proudly been inspiring excellence in our students for more than three decades.
In 2006, we became one of the first international schools in Jordan to offer the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB). Today, our students follow the IB continuum of programmes – the PYP, MYP, and IB Diploma – from the age of 3 through to 18. This not only provides consistency, but also ensures our students are engaged in curricula that expertly nurture intellectual growth, inspire creativity, and develop character.
In an ever-changing world, our history, heritage, and culture remain as important as ever. We offer a fully bilingual curriculum, ensuring our students become fluent in both Arabic and English. Long-held traditions and values inform our educational philosophy, too, setting the standards our students live and learn by.
We joined the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family of premium international schools in 2022. We’re proud to be NAE’s first school in Jordan. Being part of this global community brings many benefits. These include exclusive collaborations with UNICEF, The Juilliard School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as access to the award-winning Global Campus platform, which connects our students to more than 70,000 learners worldwide. In addition to having a track record of being the number one school in Tawjihi Highschool Leaving Certificate for 13 consecutive years. In addition to being one of the highest IB DP averages for over 15 years.
