After-school clubs
Organised by our dedicated Student Life Office (SLO), our extensive after-school programme offers something for everybody. Your child can explore environmental challenges at our ‘clean and green’ club, code, design, and programme robots, or study the Quran. They can also learn a musical instrument, sculpt, or try their hand at origami.

Nord Anglia collaborations
Being part of the Nord Anglia Education family transforms how and what our students learn. Your child will enjoy a world-class performing arts education through our collaboration with The Juilliard School, while our Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)-inspired STEAM programme reimagines learning in extraordinary ways. Our collaboration with UNICEF, meanwhile, challenges students to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Action and service
A range of leadership and service opportunities – both through our International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and beyond the classroom – teach our students to act with honour, purpose, and passion. These include our Student Council, Model United Nations programme, and community-focused activities linked to cultural celebrations, including Ramadan.

Sports
Students of all ages make the most of our magnificent sports facilities, as they get active, try new things, and display their talents. After-school sports clubs range from Taekwondo and gymnastics to football and basketball, while specialist coaches deliver skill-boosting 10-week training courses. Ambitious athletes finesse their skills at team practice sessions before getting competitive through our league programmes.

EMBRACING OUR HERITAGE, CELEBRATING OUR CULTURE

Our history, heritage, and local culture are immensely important to us. They inform our educational approach and set the standards our students live and learn by. This will ensure your child develops the values and character they need to flourish, all within a joyous and respectful environment. We come together as a community for cultural celebrations throughout the year, too, including Jordan Independence Day, Eid, and Ramadan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

  • Where is the school located?
Our safe and secure campus is situated in Khalda, a prime location in the west of Amman. Our full address is: Amman Academy, Sulayman Abd Al Qadir As Sukkari Street, Amman-Khalda, PO Box 840, Zip Code 11821.
  • What curricula do you teach?

From kindergarten through to grade 12, every student follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum of programmes: the Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), and Diploma (IBDP).

The IB continuum is academically rigorous and respected around the world. Each programme is also packed with character-forming learning experiences that nurture critical thinking, spark creativity, and build resilience. This creates well-rounded individuals who not only achieve fantastic Diploma results, but also flourish as people.

  • What size are your classes?
Our class sizes vary by age group. Our average teacher to student ratio of just 1 to 8 is one of the lowest in Jordan. This gives our teachers the time and space to get to know your child, identify and nurture their strengths, and provide the right level of support and challenge.
  • What languages do you teach in?
Amman Academy is a truly bilingual school. We teach in both English and Arabic, ensuring our students become fluent dual-language communicators. Bilingualism also cultivates a deep cultural appreciation, nurturing respectful citizens who are ready for success in our globalised world.
  • Which universities do your graduates go to?
Our students’ Diploma success takes them to the very best universities in the world. Many secure prestigious scholarships, too, which reflects our reputation for educational excellence in Jordan – and the world.
