AA Open Day 2026: Global Village Edition

AA Open Day 2026 - Open Day 2026

Over 4,000 students, parents, alumni, staff and visitors came through our gates for a day of music, flavours, performances, and experiences from around the world as Amman Academy was transformed into a village of eleven countries.

Beyond the celebration, the day delivered a clear social impact. Open Day gave local businesses, independent makers and performers a platform to reach thousands of families in a single day, opening our campus to support the community around it as much as to celebrate it.

"Open Day 2026 marks a proud moment for Amman Academy. To see our students, families, alumni and friends come together in such numbers, celebrating the world while feeling so at home on our campus, speaks to the community we have built and the school we continue to become."

Yasmine Nassif, School Principal

A Celebration of Culture

At the heart of the Global Village stood eleven pavilions, each representing a different country: Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Morocco, Türkiye, Spain, Italy, India and China. Across the Main Stage and KG Area, lively performances celebrated both local heritage and international traditions.

The day opened with Jordanian Dabkeh, a fitting start rooted in our home. Al Hakawatieh captivated our younger audience with traditional storytelling, while a Chinese Tai Chi performance brought a moment of grace and calm to the festivities.

Adam Wa Mishmish delighted our youngest guests, while an Egyptian band and Zuka Band carried the energy into the early evening. Our own students then took the stage for the AA Dance Performance, a highlight for many families and a clear reflection of the talent and confidence they bring to everything they do.

The day closed on a high note with a live performance by Jurf's Gentlemen, powered by DNA, as the crowd gathered to sing along and end this memorable day together.

Food, Bazaar and Play

No festival would be complete without food. Nineteen food and beverage vendors served guests across a large dining area, which became a natural meeting point throughout the day. Between performances, families shared a meal, caught up with friends and soaked in the atmosphere. A few steps away, a bazaar featuring independent vendors offered fashion, accessories and handmade products, giving the village the feel of a true market.

While adults browsed and dined, younger guests enjoyed a world of their own. A dedicated Early Years area gave them space to play and explore at their own pace. Nearby, the petting zoo quickly became one of the day’s favourite attractions, while the jumping castle also remained a firm favourite with younger guests throughout the day.

A Community Effort

What stood out most was the people. Students, staff, parents, alumni and visitors came together with genuine enthusiasm and a shared sense of pride, creating a day that belonged to all of them.

"Delivering an experience for more than 4,000 guests required a remarkable level of commitment from across our school. Our teams worked for weeks to bring every detail together, from the pavilions and performances to the experience on the day. Just as important was the social impact of the day, opening our campus to local businesses and independent vendors and giving them a real platform to reach new customers and grow. We are equally grateful to our partners, whose support made it possible to deliver Open Day on such a large scale and to such a high standard. It was a true collaboration, and the result belongs to everyone involved."

Rana Al Yahya, Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications
