Nord Anglia Education celebrates opening of four bilingual schools in China Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s leading premium schools group, announced that its four brand-new bilingual schools in mainland China have opened for the new school year. The bilingual schools are Nord Anglia School Beijing, Fangshan; Nord Anglia School Foshan; Nord Anglia School Nantong; and Nord Anglia School Shenzhen. Welcoming hundreds of new students on opening this week, the schools will educate more than 7,200 students in total. Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s leading premium schools group, announced that its four brand-new bilingual schools in mainland China have opened for the new school year.

The bilingual schools are Nord Anglia School Beijing, Fangshan; Nord Anglia School Foshan; Nord Anglia School Nantong; and Nord Anglia School Shenzhen.  Welcoming hundreds of new students on opening this week, the schools will educate more than 7,200 students in total.

The NAE global family of schools now includes 66 premium schools in 29 countries, with more than 64,000 students and more than 13,000 teachers and support staff globally.

Nord Anglia School Beijing, Fangshan (北京市房山区诺德安达学校)

  • Located in Fangshan District of Beijing, the school is close to Qinglong Lake and near the mountains of southwest Beijing.
  • The state-of-the art 35,000 square-metre campus has a student capacity of 1,728 and boarding capacity of 528.
  • Teaching open to students aged 6 to 18.
  • The school includes a comprehensive academic building with interactive whiteboards, an innovative library spread over three floors, and science labs.
  • A sky-bridge connects the academic building to the Sports and Performing Arts Centre and includes a full performing arts suite, further STEAM and science labs, two swimming pools, and a 420-seat theatre. 
  • Co-principals are Ethan Hildreth and Monica Meng, with a combined experience of over fifty years in education.

 

Nord Anglia School Foshan (佛山市诺德安达学校)

  • Located in Foshan city, the school is close to Guangzhou and is located in the centre of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
  • The campus is 44,600 sqm, with a student capacity of 2,304.
  • Teaching open to students aged 6 to 18.
  • The expansive campus features modern facilities for sports, study and the arts. Central to the school campus is the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre.
  • Extensive sports and recreational facilities include a 25-metre swimming pool, full-sized indoor gymnasium, tennis courts, basketball courts, full-size grass sports field, five-a-side Astroturf soccer pitches, and athletics area.
  • Co-principals are Willem van der Sluis and Julia Li.

 

Nord Anglia School Nantong (南通诺德安达双语学校)

  • Located in the Sutong Industrial Park of Nantong, an expansive international community integrating business, living and shopping.
  • Campus is 35,000 sqm with a student capacity of 1,728 and 864 boarding spaces.
  • Teaching open to students aged 6 to 18.
  • The campus includes specialist classrooms for STEAM; outstanding performing arts facilities including an auditorium, drama and dance studios; a theatre and music practice rooms.
  • Extensive sports facilities with full-sized indoor gymnasium, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, a full-sized grass football pitch and basketball courts.
  • Co-principals are Shireen Appana and Yuemei Sun.

 

Nord Anglia School Shenzhen (深圳龙华区诺德安达双语学校)

  • Located in the Longhua District in the northern part of the city, the school sits in the Mission Hills area of Shenzhen.  
  • The world-class campus is 18,000 sqm with a student capacity of 1,200 students and 54 boarding spaces.
  • The school will initially offer teaching from Grade 1 to Grade 9.
  • The campus features specialist classrooms for STEAM, Art, Music, and PE.
  • Features a spacious sports hall that is home to a full-size indoor gymnasium.
  • Co-principals are Timothy J. Wedge and Alfred Liu, who both have school leadership experience in China and abroad.
