Headteacher's Commendation Award

"Ava has been a true senior dancer this year. Ava has contributed above and beyond to the senior dance CCA, she has organised and delivered warm up activities, she has demonstrated her creativity with her choreography skills, she has been a strong leader of the group and an inspiration to all dancers. Ava has been involved with the ‘Peace and Unity’ dance, ‘The Swimmer’ dance for the BSME project and she was selected to perform in the contact choreography dance ‘Reunited’ based on her strong choreography and performance skills within the Year 7 dance curriculum. Ava was also chosen as the lead dancer for the finale due to her support for others backstage and the respect she has from other dancers, not to mention her wonderful sense of timing and understanding for rhythm. Her performances on stage are always with grace, passion, characterisation and clarity in the movement and the placement of the body is outstanding. She is a joy to watch. It has been a delight to work with Ava this year."
