At the British International School of Houston, we aim to timetable our Heritage Language Programmes during the school day during our 'Enrichment' period for Primary and Middle School students. Programmes may also be scheduled before or after school, based on the availability of teachers.
Courses are offered based upon demand. We currently offer Heritage Language Programmes in the following languages for Primary and Middle School students:
- French
- Spanish
- Dutch
- German
Where national assessment, curricular, or government funding conditions of the target language country require more hours, we strive to maintain compliance with these requirements. Often, these requirements mean that students' lessons must take place either before or after school.
