HRH The Earl of Wessex heartily congratulated the dozens of #worldready young people from across America in 2020-2022 who received their Gold Awards or virtual Silver Awards. Twenty-two honorees joined in a ceremony in the nation’s capital in Washington, including alumna Lokesh.
British Ambassador Dame Karen Pierce highlighted how the Award, after 66 years is now in 130 countries and is another way in which the UK and US are tied together in making sure the next generation is ready to face a myriad of challenges.
Alumni speakers Victor Echaniz, Kristian Aryanian, and Rosie Westerback underscored the importance of the Award in their current endeavors. British International School of Washington provided musical performances.
Award USA commends these resilient, new Global Award Alumni Network their volunteers including those reaching more than 5 or 10 years of service, and their families.
