Established in 2010, The British School of Tashkent has grown into a thriving community of more than 650 students, parents and teachers. Today, more than 40 nationalities call our school home, creating a diverse and genuinely international environment in which every student can learn, grow and thrive.
Our new purpose-built school provides a contemporary learning environment designed around the needs of students from Early Years through to Year 13. Set across 24,500 m², the school has capacity for up to 1,500 students and brings together spacious, light-filled learning spaces with specialist facilities for science, technology, sport, the arts and performing arts.
Students benefit from six science laboratories, a robotics laboratory, three ICT suites, Design & Technology workshops, a 350+ seat theatre, dedicated drama and dance studios, music rooms and extensive sports facilities, including a 25-metre, 10-lane swimming pool, indoor sports hall, outdoor pitch and basketball court. The school also includes dedicated spaces to support inclusive learning and language development, with four SEN rooms and four EAL centres, alongside landscaped outdoor areas, age-appropriate playgrounds and breakout spaces throughout the school.
We offer a truly contemporary international school education, combining the English National Curriculum with a broad range of opportunities beyond the classroom. We’re also unique in Uzbekistan. Alongside the English National Curriculum, we are the only school in the country to offer a dual curriculum for Uzbek nationals. Students who have Uzbekistan citizenship can study for both the Ministry of Education-approved аттестат and their IGCSEs.
The British School of Tashkent is the first and only private school in Uzbekistan to be a member of FOBISIA, the prestigious federation of international schools, and to hold British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation. We are also an accredited member of COBIS and Pearson Edexcel, as well as being licensed by the Ministry of Education and the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency in the UK.
