What a creative week the children in the Primary section have had! Together we celebrated ‘Book Week’, and the children were engaged in a wide variety of activities planned to create a love for books and reading.
The House system is an integral part of our pastoral care program for your children. Each week the children try and emulate the 6 aspects of the Aide Memoire, to be good global citizens, to gain House Points for the House they are assigned to.
Tragically, drowning is one of the leading causes of death in children over the age of one in Vietnam and the Vietnam Ministry of Health Statistics state that at least 10 children drown here every day. Clearly, swimming is not only a fun activity or just sport but a vital life skill and here at BVIS we want to start making a change to this statistic.
Our first day began with a challenging hike to the river, it was hot, the children were tired, but the views and the feeling of accomplishment at the end made it very worthwhile.
