For our assembly this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr Victoria Kwakwa, Country Director for the World Bank in Vietnam.

Champions for Change – this is the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) topic that Year 5 is just coming to the end of.

This year, BVIS decided to go big and host an amazing athletics event against other International schools.

Recently, at BVIS, we have introduced a new reading scheme called Accelerated Reader.

Our 44 Year 9 and Year 10 students left school very early on Tuesday morning (12th May) for a 3 night trip to SaPa.

The 2015 summer camp will take place from 28th June to 25th July.

Using this programme your child’s teacher will be able to allocate books specifically matched to their age and reading ability.

The aim of the competition is to support and improve children’s literacy and further their reading and writing skills.

The students have shown some great knowledge of the rules and positions, which has helped them to overcome some tough attack.

The exhibits are developed by Anne Frank House, co-organized by BVIS, Embassy of Israel and Embassy of Netherland.

Our first day began with a challenging hike to the river, it was hot, the children were tired, but the views and the feeling of accomplishment at the end made it very worthwhile.

We did not get much attention at first. The first day we only sold 8 packets of cookies. It was quite hard.
