Ms Fisher enjoys playing in a wide variety of orchestral and chamber ensembles. She has performed as soloist with the China National Philharmonic and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, playing concertos by Mozart, Françaix and Weber.
She has been a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra, and was also invited to take up a position with the French Youth Orchestra (OFJ) during her studies there.
During her time at Juilliard, she performed with the Juilliard orchestra, as well as with Juilliard's new music ensemble. Her interest in new music has led to her participation in a number of world premiere performances.
As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Cité Universitaire (Paris), and the Israel Sinfonietta, among others. Her solo performances been featured on radio stations in Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to her performing career, Ms Fisher maintains a successful teaching studio. She was employed by the Juilliard School as a Teaching Fellow, and taught music theory to undergraduates at the school.
She also enjoys researching aspects of music history, particularly focussing on Jewish music, Soviet music, and French music of the 20th Century. She carries this interest in music history over to her performing career, frequently programming unusual or forgotten works she has uncovered in her research.
