Northbridge hosts first ISSAPP swim meet

This past weekend the Northbridge Nagas were honored to host the first ISSAPP (International Schools Sports Association of Phnom Penh) swim meet. There were 186 swimmers competing in 51 different events ranging in ages from 6 to 18. It was an amazing day with great energy from all the fans and athletes.

Our Northbridge swimmers managed to improve or match their personal bests which considering how early in the season we are, it is a great sign of amazing things coming for this year. Our team is expanding as now we have 29 swimmers from across the school.

Many of our athletes won their heat and some also had medal placing over the entire event. Some key performances to highlight were:

  1. Oh Kyoung Park from Grade 8 with 3 golds

  2. Natasia Escubil from Grade 10  with 3 golds

  3. Kaeun Hwang from Grade 3 with 2 golds.

  4. The 15 and over relay where our Nagas pulled ahead with an early lead and ended with a clear win.

Congratulations to all of our athletes and a big thank you to the amazing team of teacher, student and parent volunteers for all of your help this weekend!

Go Nagas!
