By Chairperson Natashia Ma

Welcome to the monthly update from the Parent Council, which summarizes the discussions from the latest meeting, and important future events to watch out for.

Big thanks to Mr Richard: Parents gave big thanks to Mr Richard for all the changes that Mr Richard had done in the last semester and for the facilities upgrades during the summer holiday.

Managebac training: School will open Managebac training for parents after the Pchum Ben Holiday. Parents from Primary are also welcome to attend the training as Managebac will be soon launching in Primary also.

Parking problems: Parents gave feedback that some cars are not parked properly in the carpark, which can cause heavy congestion during peak hour. Some cars even have to double park, which blocks the passway and entrance gate.

To avoid this, the Parent Council suggests that school security should strictly request drivers to park their cars in the parking spaces. To emphasize this, school will also send handouts (in both English and Khmer) to every family to remind parents and drivers to park their cars properly.

Digital ID Card system: The digital ID system in school will begin trial after the Pchum Ben Holiday. The school will adjust and modify the system during this trial period and aim to finalize it by the end of this semester. It will then be fully activated in our school when the next semester starts in January 2019.

Cultural Day: This year's Cultural Day is on 2nd November. There will be a flag parade, various performances, and food stands that represent different countries.

For parents that would like to contribute performances or food stands, please submit your proposal with requested help from the school (if any) to Events & Pr Manager Ms Nel: oudomrath.pen@nisc.edu.kh.

For parents that would like their kids to carry the flags representing your own country, please also email Ms Nel.

The school will try to introduce traditional games and sports from different countries on Cultural Day. If you are keen to present your country's traditional games to our children, please feel free to contact Natashia or send an e-mail to pc@nisc.edu.kh.

Lastly, we are trying to make our Cultural Day more meaningful and interesting for the whole community.

If you have any new ideas or are keen to help on Cultural Day, please send an email to pc@nisc.edu.kh. If you would like to visit your child's classroom to introduce your country during the week of Cultural Day, please contact your class teacher.
