Silvia Barreto

Staff Profile - Silvia Barreto

MYP Science and DP Biology Teacher

Silvia Barreto is a biologist who has been teaching for 15 years. One year ago she moved with her husband to Cambodia and has been part of the Northbridge community since then.

  • BSc Biology, University of Los Andes, Colombia
  • MSc, Multidisciplinary Studies for International Educators, State University of New York

Passionate about nature and education she studied biology and has been working in schools since she was studying at the university. Most of her experience has been with international schools in Colombia, her country. Last year she and her husband moved to Cambodia to join the Northbridge family and has been an amazing life experience.

Aware of consequences that every action we take has on the environment, she wants to encourage students to make informed choices that could help reduce our impact. Through caring and respectful relationships with her students she believes they may become confident human beings able to achieve their goals and dreams.

Silvia is always ready to listen and help anyone in need, dance, travel and learn.
