We are happy to inform you of the amazing progress our students have made in the IB Diploma. No doubt you have all read in the news about the changes to the awarding of grades from all the awarding bodies this year. The IB initially awarded grades based on school predicted grades, student coursework grades, and historically school data. There was a massive outcry from students and schools around the world about this as students were being judged on previous students results and not entirely on their own work.
After these changes the following is the latest update of the IB scores for Léman.
- The graduating class of 2020 achieved a massive average score of 37.07, well above the average world score of 31.38.
- Léman Diploma students achieved a 100% pass rate, with the world pass rate being 85.36%.
- In addition to this 43% of Léman students achieved a score of 40 or higher, with 2 of our students scoring a record school high of 43 points.
The students who achieved these amazing grades worked very hard over the last 2 years in the Diploma and truly deserve ther success. In addition to this they demonstrated amazing resilience and dedication to their studies during a very challenging period. The Léman IB team are very proud of our students and congratulate them on their results.
