In the Primary School, counselling is available within the Special Education Needs (SEN) department to help students with a variety of concerns. Students may visit the counsellor either for a regularly scheduled session or on a more informal drop-in basis as needed. We work with students on a range of topics including self-regulation and executive functioning, self-esteem issues, inter-personal concerns, building friendships, and more. Teachers and the SEN team also meet regularly to discuss concerns and ways teachers can support their students in the classroom. Students who would like to meet with the counsellor can tell their classroom teachers who will contact Ms. Patricia Williams. Students can also come directly to Ms. Patricia in room J105 to schedule an appointment. If parents have any questions or concerns about the counselling process or how to help their child, please feel free to contact Ms. Patricia Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
