Q：What brings you to Léman International School Chengdu?
Léman's Be Ambitious philosophy resonates with me, I want to be a part of helping students be ambitious and reach their potential.
Q：Can you please introduce yourself to our LIS community?
I am a 28 year old Scottish-Italian living in Edinburgh. I’ve spent the past few years teaching music, IGCSE English and EAL English to students of all ages.
Q：Why did you choose Nord Anglia Education to expand your career?
Nord Anglia Education is a large company with a big international presence with many inspiring world-class teachers, so it’s a really exciting opportunity to be able to teach and learn with NAE.
Q：How are you going to work with your students to encourage them “To Be Ambitious”?
Lao Tzu said “千里之行，始於足下” (The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step). I believe that any goal needs three things to succeed: The effort to move forward, checkpoints to mark progress and enjoyment of the journey.
I will work with the students to see their ambitions and learning as a journey that they can not only control, but can enjoy.
Q：What do you like to do outside of school?
Outside of school I spend my time writing music and lyrics. I play a few instruments and I’m hoping to get to use my musical ability in Chengdu. I also enjoying acting and the theatre.
Q: What do you plan to bring to the school?
As an EAL teacher I aim to give pupils the ability to express themselves and to show their creativity through their use of language.
