As we vault forward into Spring, the Athletics program at Léman is in full swing. This week we had victories in Boys’ U19 Soccer and U15 Basketball. Our U15 Girls played a tough and physical game against Meishi IS, but came up just short. We are really pleased with the development of our teams so far and are really excited about the continuing season. Apart from our local CISA competitions, we will host ACAMIS soccer in late April and our Basketball teams will attend the Nord Anglia Global Games Basketball competition in Beijing in May.
Our swimming program is also flying along, with a dedicated group working towards the CISA Swimming Championships to be held at Léman on Tuesday, April 23rd. We are very excited to welcome the larger Chengdu community to our pool for such and exciting day. Tomorrow’s extra practice session has been postponed due to traffic concerns with the Food and Beverage Convention being held nearby our campus. We are looking to reschedule for April 13th.
Track and Field also has a great group of students training hard on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they prepare for the CISA Championships to be held on May 18th at Confucius school.
Our club days are a really exciting time around campus. Walking around, you can see ball hockey, Frisbee golf, fun soccer for our younger students, dance and even chess in addition to all of our regular sports. It’s amazing to be part of such a fun and vibrant community.
