Newsletter August 30th
As we approach the end of our second full week, the gym and the pitches continue to be lively and full. We have finished two solid weeks of practice for U19 Volleyball and U15 Football and are looking forward to matches next week against our friendly rivals from CDIS and new CISA member Malvern College.
PHE classes have also had a really enthusiastic start to the year. Our amazing staff is providing fun and productive lessons for all grades and we have had a really positive response from the students. We are looking forward to the opportunity to meet many of our Leman families and share more information about our exciting programs this coming Saturday.
We have had a great response from the Léman community about the Explore China trips coming up very soon! These trips will take place from Sunday, September 8th with students returning to Chengdu on Thursday, September 11th. We have brought in two new trips this year to offer more variety to students and to explore different areas of China.
Grade 6- Ganbao
Grade 7- ***Baima Village*** trip changed from Four Sisters due to concerns about dangerous terrain due to weather.
Grade 8- Lijiang
Grade 9 & 10- Yangshuo
Grade 11- Kangding and Tagong
All students have been provided with the trip brochures and the link to the online registration which I will also include here.
If you experience any trouble with this link, please contact Extravagant Yak directly and they will direct you further.
We remind families that payment should have already been made to the Léman Finance Office via bank card, WeChat or Alipay (in person) or by sending your child in with cash to bring to the Finance Office. Thank you for your support.
It is VITAL to get the registration online as soon as possible so that the trips which include flights can be booked.
We will hold an information session for all trips at Meet the Teacher Day on August 31st.
Thank you and GO RED PANDAS!
