First Aid Training for Duke of Edinburgh Participants

18 November 2015

Over the last two Saturdays our Year 10 and 11 Duke of Edinburgh participants have been certified in First Aid by Family Medical Practice.

  • DOE First Aid training (2)
  • DOE First Aid training (1)
  • DOE First Aid training (3)

The 6 hour course covered the skills to manage emergency first aid situations, including managing the unconscious casualty, performing CPR, controlling bleeding and managing other life threatening situations.

The aim of growing the Duke of Edinburgh course is that it includes transferable skills and the inclusion of outside expertise would not be possible without the support of people like Dr. Michael Santos who kindly supervised each session.
