Year 3 Residential
This is the first opportunity for our Primary children to experience sleeping away from home and this builds up each year as the children develop in maturity to become more self-aware and learn personal skills they could not experience in the classroom.
The trip started straight after school with lots of games and excitement in the swimming pool before continuing to the school field for more amusing activities. The children then went indoors to enjoy their take-away dinner before settling down to enjoy a movie snuggled up with their teddies. We can’t say everyone went to sleep after the film and there were a few tired eyes at breakfast but the children had a thoroughly amazing time. Thank you to all the Year 3 team and to Mr. Slight, all who made this such a great adventure.
Primary Class Reward Trip
On Wednesday this week, 22 children were selected, 2 from each class, for a special reward trip to Vinpearl Water Park in Royal City. At the end of each year, we always recognise students who have been outstanding in their academic achievements, been role models displaying the characteristics of our Aide Memoire and made great progress in specific areas during our prize giving. This was a chance for the teachers to select children who have just been great company in the class this year and deserved a special mention because of their attitude and integrity. Well done to the children selected and thank you to all the staff that went along and ensured it was a safe and enjoyable afternoon.
I look forward to talking to lots of you, like last night, during the remainder of the parent teacher conferences. Have a lovely weekend.
