Swimming Gala at BIS

27 May 2016

On Saturday 21st May, the Year 7 Swim Team met at BIS for their final competitive gala before the big end of season competition at UNIS next weekend.

Thank you to BIS and their staff for a very well organised event. Once again, our students had a fantastic attitude, wanting to participate in as many races as possible. We even had the opportunity to enter a mixed medley relay where Bao and Nathan showed some promising butterfly. Overall, the swimmers did very well; a couple of 2nd and 3rd places but big congratulations to Quang who finished 1st in the 50m breaststroke.

What was also lovely to see on Saturday was the support from our parents who gave up their time to come along and cheer on our team. Thank you very much to all the parents who came; I know your sons and daughters will have enjoyed having you there.

I am really looking forward to next season already as we have many hopeful swimmers and I am positive that our Swim Team will keep growing and we will gain even more success. Well done to the Year 7 Swim Team.  Keep up the hard work!
