We have the obvious changes in the Primary building but we also have some significant changes in the EYFS building too. I must pay a huge tribute to every single member of staff who has contributed to the development of our school. Most recently the teaching staff and assistants but more significantly, the maintenance staff, facilities, cleaners and admin workers who have created these wonderful buildings for your children to learn and grow in. Without their effort and commitment to this community, we would not be in such a great position and seamless transition from one building to another. Thank you everyone.
Both orientation days have now taken place and it was lovely to welcome the majority of parents who came to join in our celebrations of past achievements and growth, and look forward to being part of something special both this year and into the future. New children have settled quickly and I have been very impressed how our routines and expectations have transferred from one environment to another. The children are loving their new classrooms and spaces to play and as the year progresses they will notice other small changes as we improve things further. It is great to have the children back and we can clearly see that all the hard work over the summer has been worth it. Your children are happy in their new learning environment, and with our teaching excellence, we will be facilitating fantastic progress for your children.
Meet the Teacher took place earlier this week too and we hope you found the information sessions useful, as well as being able to meet the teachers who help your children learn every day. We have fantastic teams and systems in place but we always welcome any feedback or suggestions you have that may help us improve. We are aiming to make the links between parents and teachers even stronger this year, as discussed at the meetings, and I look forward to our closer collaboration too. More information on this will come directly to parents in the near future but in the meantime please enjoy your children’s stories of the experiences they have each day with us. Have a wonderful National Day celebration this weekend.
