We could easily write four or five pages to describe the events over the last week or so. The commitment from all the staff to continually offer these opportunities for you and your children, until the very last day of term, is incredible. It illustrates what strong teams and relationships we have in school and we have been delighted to share most of our activities with you.
All of our Parent and Child events are now over, some of them extremely competitive. We know the staff and children completely enjoyed themselves and we think you did too. They will now become a regular part of our calendar and events more specific to match our successes.
Our parent/teacher conferences concluded this week and it was good to see so many happy faces following these meetings. Your children make incredible progress, academically, socially and emotionally and it is always a pleasure to share this with you.
Tuesday saw our Year 1 and 2, or Key Stage One, sports day. So many of you attended and cheered on your children. I think it made some of them throw further and run faster. Thank you as ever for your continued support. Well done to Hue who are this year’s champions and thank you to Mr. Brookfield, Mr. Quyen and the staff for making it such a success. I wonder if the forward crawl will ever become an Olympic event!
Today, after this article was written, would have been the Year 3 – 6, Key Stage Two, House Football Competition and the Year 6 Leavers assembly. I will announce the winners of the football next week and I am sure there were many tears and much laughter at our first ever leavers assembly. We all wish the children well next year, where we know they will be well looked after by our colleagues in secondary school. They have a very good basis to build upon. Work hard Year 6 and you will continue to be successful. We also hope your trip as a year group to Halong Bay this weekend is a fantastic triumph.
Have a great weekend everyone.
