Excitement levels have been rising this week as we have begun to make preparations for New Year. It is times like this that remind us of the differences between our British and Vietnamese cultures and allow us to reflect on how fortunate we are to be able to share our experiences. So many of you have contributed towards our preparations by helping the children to make Chung cakes in class, decorate peach blossom trees, Kumquat trees and Orange trees. Thank you all for your support in the form of donations and time spent helping in the classrooms. The children are currently rehearsing hard for their Tet Assembly next week and we look forward to your joining us then. Of course, we have our very exciting Tet Fair on Saturday, during which you will have an opportunity to visit stalls run by the children, see some of them perform and have the opportunity to catch up with teachers and friends. You will all have received your tickets for entry, so we do hope that you can come along.
May I remind you that school will be closed on Thursday January 31st for the Tet holiday and reopen again on Wednesday February 13th. We know that many of you will be travelling home to spend time with your families over this special time. Please travel safely. We wish you a wonderful break and a very Happy New Year;
