Celebrating Moon Festival 2019 at BVIS

It was a special celebration of Moon Festival at our BVIS’s Primary school today. Over the past few weeks, all teaching staff and students have put in a lot of efforts to prepare many activities such as preparing for fruit tray decorating competition, designing colourful lanterns around school, creating a wonderful stage for the performances, practicing and learning all about traditional songs and stories of Moon Festival.

Most of all, the children have done wonderful performances today wearing their aodai and in the assembly. This year, all classes took it to the whole new level in the fruit tray decorating competition, our judges had really difficult time to choose the winners from Year 1 to Year 6 groups. Congratulations to: 1B; 2I; 3S; 4B; 5I; 6B.

Let’s see the best fruit trays of this year!!!

The winner will be awarded in the next Friday’s assembly.

On a final note, we were so lucky to have parents joined us to celebrate this occasion. A big thanks to all the lovely students, staffs and parents who’ve made it to such meaningful festival.

A massive thank you to students and staff for the ‘Moon Festival Extravaganza’ this morning, it was truly amazing. The hard work and dedication shown by all our talented students involved shone through in this polished performance. It was my very first Moon Festival celebration and I like everyone else thoroughly enjoyed it.  The student performances were first class, with particular mention for the dramatic performance that was humorous, poignant and affective in getting its message across.
