Staff Profile: Josef Waldron

Computer Science Teacher

BSc (Hons) Computer Science, Durham University, UK

PGCE (Computer Science), University of Hull, UK

CELTA, University of Cambridge, UK

Josef worked for a little under two years as a systems analyst for a large multinational corporation after graduating in 2008, before leaving to start up his own business in Newcastle upon Tyne. He later added to his skills base with the CELTA qualification for EAL teaching, en route to becoming a teacher of EAL in Georgia.

Josef left the small language school he had started in Georgia, arriving in Kyrgyzstan where he secured a post at a Bishkek International School in the EAL department. He later introduced the teaching of ICT, and by the summer had introduced Computer Science to the school. Josef found teaching Computer Science to be a passion, and a year later, returned to the UK after securing a post of Computer Science teacher in a Secondary school in Horncastle.

He is now excited about coming to Vietnam for the first time and getting to know the students of BVIS!
