Lisa was born and brought up in Lytham St. Anne’s, England. After completing her training as a radiographer at St Bartholomew’s Hospital London, she worked in the USA. On returning to the UK, she worked in the Pharmaceutical industry as a training manager and a Regional Business Manager. Her career took a significant and life-changing turn a number of years ago when she chose to apply her leadership and people development skills amassed in industry to a career in teaching. She gained a degree in Combined Science at Edge Hill and has taught Science in a variety of schools. She has applied these qualifications and experience, since 2007, to a successful leadership career in Secondary and all-through education. Lisa became Principal of Aspire Academy in Blackpool in 2016 and has lead the school on a successful improvement journey. Her educational vision is founded on a firm belief that every single child has the right and ability to succeed and that a fantastic school experience can ensure that they achieve excellence.
Lisa lives with her husband Mike in Hanoi and they have two grown up children, Rhiannon and George, who live in the UK.
Lisa is a proud horse owner and regularly takes part in dressage competitions. She considers herself a real foodie and enjoys combining travel with sampling different cuisines as well as cooking for friends and family.
