Faye Wood

Faye Wood

Science Teacher

  • BSc (Hons) Marine Biology & Coastal Ecology; University of Plymouth, UK
  • PGCE Secondary Science with Chemistry; University College of St Mark & St John, Plymouth, UK

Faye worked in a variety of roles in forensic science, marine conservation and recreational scuba diving before training as a Science teacher. She has spent 5 years teaching in the UAE, actively promoting and participating in extra-curricular activities, such as netball and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, both domestic and international.

Faye is passionate about marine conservation and volunteering opportunities. She has volunteered on numerous projects including tidal research in Ireland, beach cleaning operations and marine mammal strandings in the UK. More recently, she spent a month researching big cat populations in Kenya and working with the local community on projects including teaching in schools.

As a nature enthusiast, Faye is excited to experience a complete contrast from the desert of Dubai and discover the wide diversity of Vietnamese wildlife.  She enjoys playing netball, watching crime and nature documentaries, scuba diving and travelling.
