Our school shares the school building as well as outdoor premises and sport grounds with PBIS. Our classes as well as the classes at PBIS have all the necessary equipment not only for the major subjects but also for specialised educational subjects such as PE, drama or art.

Form or tutor group classrooms are available for pupils of our schools on the premises of the school in Prague 4 – Kamýk, which we share with the Prague British International School. We make efforts for the Czech-British classes to neighbour the British classes with children of the same age. All the classrooms are equipped according to the standards of the British educational system. They are furnished with modern and tasteful furniture.

The classrooms are spacious, bright and colourful, equipped with modern and interactive aids mostly imported from Great Britain. Specialised classrooms are also available for instruction in information technology, the sciences, music, PE, etc. Teachers share in using these classrooms and also an overhead projector, TV, video and DVD player.

The library, provided not only with entertaining but also professional literature that children fully use in their studies, puts the finishing touch to the overall very good impression given by the school. The school accommodates specialised language laboratories for English language teaching, equipped with top quality materials, aids and educational means. There is a gym in the school building and we have a sports ground available on an adjacent plot.

One of the significant resolutions of both schools is to invest in the future. By this we mean a better future not only for our pupils but also teachers and other school staff. Furthermore, this concerns the school’s infrastructure, building and equipment, and last but not least also teaching and learning aids.

The area of information technology and its application in education is in the foreground of this obligation of ours. Our school can boast high-performance computers with the latest software and hardware. All these are continuously updated and upgraded. In addition to this, all the classrooms are equipped with a computer, overhead projector and various types of interactive boards helping pupils to get acquainted with cutting edge technologies and their application. Younger pupils have Touch Sensitive Boards available, while older students have common Interactive Boards at their disposal. This enables them to be in touch with the latest information and make use of it during lessons. Most classrooms at school have already been equipped with 10 computers or laptops that are used by pupils during lessons. Our plan is to equip all the classrooms at the Primary School with these computers.

IT teaching makes up an integral part of the curriculum and during it pupils learn to master various programmes (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) and their uses. All-day access to the Internet is enabled not only for teachers but for pupils as well. Our school uses a high-speed 24-hour Internet service. Pupils are allowed to use the Internet only under a teacher’s supervision.
